i can honestly say I never owned a guards van .Owned few rustangs (austins ) and a couple of vauxhalls but some I wish I had still when young were a mini cooper S ,a 1936 Riley 15/6 and a 56 chev belair in almost perfect condition. All were sold or swapped for other cars .I even swapped one austin for a 1951Packard...from the rusted Sublime to the gasoline hungry ridiculous.

Ouch. That's gotta hurt. I've still got my Mini which I bought for $475 when I was 14 - this was back in the 90s before the new mini came out and classic mini prices went ballistic - they were still being used as everyday cars then. I don't regret selling many of my old cars except 1 or 2, probably my Mazda 1500 SS and the two Minis my dad owned.

I paid $150 for the cooper .I cant remember what I sold it for (I may have swapped it for a Anglia van I think) and I sold the Chevy for $1500 . The equivalent today would be $15,000 I guess. In NZ you got ownership papers which listed the names of each owner on a sheet of paper .It was interesting to see the names of each owner going back to the cars first owner. My 39' Ford Coupe had had 72 owners!!! .

I regret selling my E3 2500 BMW. A great car that I never realized at the time until after I'd sold it. I saw it a few hrs later buggered by some young bloke.
