Hi all,

In my w108 it had a shift indicator in the instrument cluster reading 234NRP, I have since replaced this from a donor indicator that has the cable intact, this indicator though has LSDNRP. I assume D stands for drive, what does L and S stand for ?

L = Langsam (slow)
S = Schnell (Fast)

Hi Bart,
afaik the correct "naming" is:

D: "direkt" ... all gears
S: "Steigung" (slope, uphill)
L: "Last" (load), i. e. trailer etc.

If S was "schnell" (fast) and L was "langsam" (slow), then D should be "diabolically fast" :laughing6:

Regards
Thomas

LSD...

Hmm....what does it mean when it's use begun in 70's?
LSD was used for 3 speed auto gearboxes, i believe.
Other use was to produce the best music of the 70's
