Fresh air intake plumbing

Post by Rizz280s » Sun 17 Jun, 2018 6:47 pm

Hi all,

I've had a number of electrical issues - which were largely the fault of an immobilizer. I think I have found now why the immobilizers keep going faulty.
Without the air intake grill and cowl, you can see the openings. This picture is the opening at the driver's side.

At some stage, a filter (like a dense sponge) has been cut out and there appears to be some other coarse filter missing above it.
The water collects in this little well, which is a plastic tray with a drain and goes STRAIGHT ONTO THE BLOODY FUSE BOX and other electrical crap, ultimately finishing in the driver's footwell!
My question:
Where is this intake box drain supposed to be plumbed to?

Thanks,

Rizz

Ill close this one myself.

The fresh air intake drain runs into a pipe which was designed to run into a cavity of the car. This is the rocker sill and there is a small drainage hole for this cavity next to the jacking point (just at the bottom and in front of the the front door hinge).

*solved*
