W108 Air con compressor bracket bolts

Post by NZJasonT »

Would anyone happen to know the sizes of the three bolts, length, diameter and pitch, that hold the compressor bracket on?

I’m refitting mine and don’t have original bolts - I have some that are close but they bind and I don’t want to over tighten them, cross thread them or worse still split the housing etc

Thanks

Not 100 % sure on the diameter, but it will be Metric fine.

M8 x 1 or M10 x 1.25

Damn, I had mine off a few months ago. I think all three are different. At least two are different. None seemed to be fine thread. The one into manifold I would guess at m8, bu the ones into the block were definitive bigger. could be m10 and m12. maybe both m10. The blind one had a big head on it, but might be just mine and hence why i'm thinking m12.

It depends on the compressor model. The Harrison compressor uses SAE bolts.
