Wanted - Front Shock Boots

Post by mrsecman » Fri 09 Mar, 2018 1:36 am

Had the front suspension checked for an issue today - symptoms are a clicking sound front end when moving over bumps and road indentations, mostly heard at lower speeds. All front end suspension is in good shape fortunately, but the shocker boots are worn and that's where the sound is coming from (upper boots I believe).

New boots come with new shocks which are $250 or thereabouts per side. They suggested if I can source the boots, them can fit them.

Anyone got any sources? Suggestions?

Had a wheel alignment done also at same time. :sunny:

Check with Forum Sponsors MB Spares
Just checked Autohaus in USA and Bilstein - Comforts USD$72 each / Heavy duty USD$80 each ($250 each is an insane price!!! who quoted you that?)

Incidentally, MB Spares are dropping their "spares" division as at end March according to their voicemail...

Question: Can we trust Autohaus on the part numbers for the right model for Aust. delivered cars? I'm sure people here have used them before without issue.

Then what to choose? Comfort = too soft? Don't want to turn the comfortable front end into a solid bumper either, maybe a standard option? Would like a subtle improvement.Thoughts?
