Post Pictures of your car here!

Don't forget to include details such as year, colour etc.
If your car has a story, for example; how you came across it, - put it in here with the pictures. It's always nice to read someone else's experiences.

If you've done any modifications / improvments, Here's the place to show them off - Post lots of pics!

It's not a bad idea to revisit your post every now and then, to make sure your pictures are still up. We'd also like to encourage those who do post a Project car, and supply us with updates, to come back to your original post and edit it, rather than make a new post each time, by replying. It will help keep all your pictures and progress in one spot!

It also makes your post MUCH easier to view.

If you're unsure on how to upload pictures, go to the posting tutorial on the main board and try the test posting page, Don't forget to sign yourself up for a free account on imageshack / photobucket etc.. if you haven't already.

Show us ya Pics! :)

Ah well let me kick off the 1st pics, 2007 C200 KOMPRESSOR Elegance, Obsidian Black with Black ARTICO leather (man made stuff) pretty much bog stock, but has a few more toys that what you expect - tyre pressure monitor, basic COMMAND, bluetooth conection etc etc. Really nice to drive, reminds me alot of a W124 sportline chassis setup. No rattles or warranty claims so far. The engine is the same TWINPULSE that was in the last of the 203's this 4 cylinder pumps out 135Kw's (same as the M103 3lt 6cyl) Brilliant on fuel, a 380km trip uses just over 1/4 tank. The car was a cancelled order in Toowoomba, unfortunatley it didnt come with a sunroof or ipod dock (I would have prefered both).

From all reports the new C class is a good vehicle but I reckon it looks like a Toyota, I guess it is a melting pot and cars all tend to look the same.
It takes me two looks to tell a commode and falcoon apart these days.
Anyway it looks great but depreciation is a killer, that's where us bottom feeders are ahead, whilst we watch the fuel bowser spin up high numbers and keep stuffing parts into them.

How big is the tank? Highway cruising that is OK I spose but it has to be considered that the 201 in 2 liter trim got 7-8L/100ks. From memory the tank in a 201 holds about 60L, so 380ks is about half a tank. Now working on the assumption that the 204 has a similar sized tank, you would have used 15-20L for 380Ks. That's 5.2L/100Ks? If it gets that then yes it is brilliant and makes you wonder why anyone would buy a Prius. I am not wanting to put down your car but just trying to get some idea of how efficient the modern motors are.
Far as the ipod dock goes, perhaps you could upgrade your mobile, cause just about every mobile these days has a player and bluetooth. Then you can play songs through your mobile whilst having it stuck to your windscreen telling you where to go as a GPS unit and then you can also enter your running costs into the built in excel program. Unless you go the Nokia way, cause I reckon they use their own operating system instead of micro$oft stuff.

Actually, parked side by side the new Honda Accord looks alot like the new C from behind, Toyota? I hope not, theyre the least liked of any brand in my family, for obvious reasons. Economy wise, being the old mans car he drove from Warwick to the Gold Coast using cruise control, speed limiter etc etc (he's not a leadfoot in this one) the ipod dock and sunroof are more what I would want on it, surprising as my 06 Mazda3 has the ipod one std. Economy wise it says brochure wise that combined is supposed to be 8.4/100km's, and the tank is supposed to be 66lt with 8lt reserve.

I'm assuming that's highway driving? I just picked my W204 last week and i've done about 380km and only 1/4 tank left =\

Hi, this is my 96 C200 recently acquired. It is my first Mercedes and I am very much enjoying it so far. It's pretty clean, relatively well looked after, with only a couple of issues (sun roof seal, internal sun roof sliding panel needs replacement/fixing) that I will get to.

I've found a stack of information in these forums, very helpful!

Bad photo's because of the shade, and it is a bit dirty but I think this is the best colour on these little coupes. Curiously I have seen it on the earlier one and it doesn't suit, likewise monochromes look fantastic on the Sedans and Wagons, but the CLC shape looks beter in Colour, IMO

NOTE I do not know why I can't attach them, as the system is saying Max pixels are 800 x 600,.... but I have made these a lot smaller than that so... :?:

OK different tact, pics should now work

After deciding the old 420SEL was getting a little thirsty it was time for a new daily driver and having read a lot about the W204 C-Class and my mechanics advice I took the plunge. It's a C250 CGI Avantgarde with all the toys. These things are built like bank vaults and the handling is simply breath taking. The Harmon Karden entertainment system is truly amazing and fuel consumption is breath takingly good not to mention it flies when the turbo kicks in!

Here is my Mercedes pride an joy. A 2006 MY05 C200 Kompressor with AMG options, upgraded climate control and most of the other factory upgrades (pity no memory seats). Love the drive and kit, makes it look like a real sports sedan with sports handling minus the AMG power. Been very happy with it and will buy another Benz after this one.

First post on here  , got my 97 w202 as a daily driver around December 2012. I needed something that would be easy to maintain and be interesting.

It is bone standard when I got it and 2 owners from new. So far the only thin I have done is put some 17inch "Hammer" wheels on it, makes it look a bit better.

Future mods
- front lip spoiler... Waiting for it to arrive in post
- bilstein shocks
- lowered springs
- black out grille
- possibly rust bonnet (still unsure.... I figure this isn't very popular)
- upgrade shocking stock stereo
- fix the headlining

I purchased a silver w203 2005 C200 Kompressor and after only a few months decided it wasn't for me. So I traded it in for this beauty...

It is a 2010 C250. Same 1.8 litre engine as the C200 but they have squeezed an extra 15 Kw out of the motor to be 150Kw and more torque. The turbo and CGI (compressed gasoline injection) is fantastic giving beautiful response, power and great economy. This one comes with AMG weels and full leahter sports seats, sunroof and upgraded Harmo kardon sound system.

I love it.... And the red... Yes please.

Traded in by woman business owner on a new model, And reduced to firesale price at end of year from dealer with 2 years MB warranty included so I could not say no...

The Nokia cradle be relocated to the glove box with a Visseo adaptor in it's place. I then have installed (I'm a car audio/security specialist by profession) an iPhone5 active cradle in place of the old one. Looks great, works great even connected it to the antenna.

This is my recently purchased 2008 C280 Avantgarde. I was very lucky to find this one - only 55,000 Km. It was owned and driven by a 77 years old Italian grandmother.... and a beautiful, gracious lady she is too. Regrettably her husband of many years passed away and it so much reminded her of their time together she just wanted it gone. Would you believe she replaced it with a 2014 E Class Coupe!!

I need to check for the correct name of the exterior colour - its like a deep champagne but not gold. The interior is cream leather seats with contrasting black trim. Perhaps not to everyone's taste, however I really think it looks great.... I love it. I'm like a rat with a gold tooth as I drive around town. :sunny:.

I've also owned 1999 E240 Elegance for four years (it's currently for sale - Edit, now sold) and it's very interesting to compare them on the road. Although not a 'small car, it feels 'small'. Whereas the E 240 felt like a large, very leisurely drive, the C Class is much more nimble, has a different seating feeling, stiffer suspension and is very, very responsive.... feels entirely different (not better - just different).

I only really used my E240 as a coffee shop and weekend drive car and this one will be used in much the same way. Anyway, hope you enjoy the pics.... meanwhile I look forward to getting off this infernal computer and heading into town in my new wheels for a coffee. :coffee2:

Regards,

Warren

Yeah not bad but where is bonnet star?
Is that still an option? I seem to remember that Daimler deleted them on some models (deemed the sportier ones) and retained them on others.
Part of the fun of owning a Benz is the star out the front to make you feel posh.
There was talk a while back that the safety nazis in Europe wanted to ban bonnet ornaments cause they might slice a pedestrian into a million pieces.
My guess is that the safety folks over there had a look at our bullbars and figured that a little bit of bling on the bonnet is not so bad.

Thanks Hedrick.... hope it gives me as much pleasure as my previous Merc. Regarding the star - I have to agree that I miss the star up front, however I don't think its an option. I think the Avantgarde model has a big 'in your face' star in the centre of the grill with a more discrete small flat lying bonnet badge, whereas the Elegance has a more subdued grill along with bonnet star. I may be wrong but someone will know.

I'm sure too that protruding bonnet emblems which can potentially cause increased trauma to pedestrians have been limited for many years. I think the MB star passes muster in that regard as they fold down against a spring loaded device should they be struck. I believe the RR emblem has a similar device. I'm relying on my shaky memory here, but again someone will know for certain.

Again thanks.... Warren

Yeah it was something like that, the avantgarde was sort of the sportier model and has styling cues from the SL and such, whereas the elegance was the more geared towards, well, being elegant I suppose.
I kinda prefer the more 'traditional' look but if someone gave me the sporty version I wouldn't knock it back http://max.leftlanenews.com/photos/cont ... s_1200.jpg
http://newlaunches.com/archives/the_fou ... 0_c350.php
I suppose fitting a bonnet star might look a bit tacky, so you might have to update your avatar accordingly :laughing6:
Although I seem to remember having a quick look at these where I was a the dealer and thinking that the plastic looked a bit too plastic but the door hinges where built like a tank.
Wasn't there a pic of four smiling elves from the black forest proudly sitting on C class doors, talking about how the junky door stays from the earlier models was of great embarrassment to them?
