W124 front indicator replacement

Post by Dweezil »

Hi Team,

'this should be the world's easiest thing to do, but for the life of me I can't get the new LHS front indicator lens to stay in.

Can someone tell me what the elaborate tab highlighted below, is supposed to connect to?

The original fell out on the highway the other day, so I don't have a removal memory to refer to.

Thanks

Can't really see what's happening on the other side, either. Pretty hectic in there, and my eyesight is failing me.

So long as you have the two tangs inserted into the apertures on the headlamp, then if should just be a matter of pushing it back until the "elaborate clip" pops into place. There is a small raised section on the inside of the guard that it clips onto.

The one in your picture looks like an after market one, so maybe that is the issue?
