Late last year,
I booked in "Wagner" wagon in for his 'B" service @ his surgeons hospital (Pro star Motors).
The mechanic/service advisor advised rear ball joints needed/required replacement.
Are these the type with encapsulated boot&stud type with grease nipple?,
Or "heim/rose joint" design/type?,
Can anyone/someone advise/enlighten me&post a diagraphm/picture of them& a MB part number?,
Love peace respect,
Adrian &"Wagner wagon".
Rear axle ball joints.

Re: Rear axle ball joints.
Yes, its a Heim joint, the issue will be that the rubber boots that keep the grease in will have disintegrated some time back allowing the dirt and crap to get in and grease to get out.

Re: Rear axle ball joints.
I will just add that doing those joints with the right tool is an absolute doddle - I managed to borrow one - did it on the car.
