Hi everyone,I want some help on starting my 280ce that has been siting in the garage for the lat 4 years,it has fuel,would it be ok to try to start with that fuel
or will the injection be blocked up,should i replace the plugs & points ,i have put new oil and water

Yes definitely change the fuel. I had heaps of trouble with mine.
it's always good to run new plugs and points. Just spray some wd40 on the plugs and let it penetrate as you don't want to snap a plug in the head like I did.

Have you removed the fuel cap and had a smell? At 4 years my guess would be that it is off and if it doesn't smell right when you remove the cap then you definitely know. I don't know for sure, but chances are the fuel sitting in the lines etc. also off. But at least if you dump what's in the tank, then it will be drawing fresh fuel in. You might need to put fuel or starter stuff into the intake to get it going and draw the bad fuel through. I guess there is a chance the fuel is ok and you could try but you are pulling bad fuel through if not starting.
