Machined Zender wheels, no clear?!?
Hi guys
I had my Zender wheels machined, they look fantastic, however the shop did not apply any clear.
The guy said that clear can 'bubble', while it should look fine for 10 to 20 years before oxidation.
I'm not sure... anybody has an opinion?
Cheers
Marco

10 - 20 yrs ..pfft . maybe if there stored in ideal conditions ...what ever they may be ? Or the rims are made of some ultra high tech alloy i never heard of ...Kym 'the rim man' will advise.
Correctly applied clear should not bubble and look good for 10 + years i think.

But there are other things you can seal the aluminium with and i think 'kim the rim' has put that in another post.

Hi Marco
After speeding lots of money on my amg c36 wheels I found the the clear coat lifted and was going black under the clear coat, I rang the company on south road and they told me that they had had trouble with the clear coat and asked me to return them. After about 9 months and less than 2,000ks it had done it again not very happy as the car sit most of the time and only gets driven on weekend and one trip to Adelaide.
after talking to kimrh in Perth and looking on google I have used SHINESEAL and very happy, you get a better shine than with clear coat. http://www.shineseal.com/products.htm can get in Australia from http://www.caswellplating.com.au/store/ ... =shineseal
Cheers Stefan

Stefan, did you use the whole kit or just the sealer after polishing?

Hi Gavin
Washed with the cleaner then applied the shineseal then let it dry then some polish , the bottle is quit small was thinking that it will not do the job, I would say that you could do 10 set of wheel with the small kit.
