Jeez that is a huge amount of damage for a W116, they must have been going fast. Very tragic. :pale:

This kind of thing (elderly drivers having "episodes", while at the wheel), has become an issue at the local shops - and these are a very small set of shops. It occurred 3 times in roughly a year - twice into the pharmacy and once into the Vietnamese restaurant. Of course, the pharmacy attracts people who are likely to suffer an episode. Eventually the government put up metal bollards to limit the damage to the shops and pedestrians.

Sad to see a pedestrian killed. The car seems to have behaved exactly as it should. Car ruined, passenger cell intact.

Sad to see, that someone was killed ... this here happened around 15 years ago where I was working ... photo taken from the office ... and yes it was a woman :laughing6: :whistle:
