1972 280se 3.5 power sterling issue , leaking

Post by danny351 »

Hi all
Issue:
My power steering has gone quite hard.

After popping the bonnet, it is leaking from the cap of the power steering pump.

The fluid looked old so i replenished the fluid and the sterling still seems hard, but Better.

No other leaks.

Pump stuffed?

if it was working you might need to bleed, but I thought you did that from going lock to lock. Others will know more. Are you in the wrong forum? W108? W116 usually referred to as 350se.
