Bonnet: Is is the height supposed to line up at firewall?

Post by berntd » Mon 09 Oct, 2017 9:32 am

Morning all

I am busy re-assembling my project and noticed that the bonnet rear edge is about 10mm lower than the firewall section in the middle.

That was like that before I started the project.

Is that normal or is the bonnet supposed to line up at the same hight as the firewall and the 2 vent grilles?

Could someone please ghave a look for me?

Best regards
Bernt

My W123 300CD Turbodiesel has the bonnet in line with the bodywork under the windscreen.
Is yours aligned at both sides near the hinge? If so, either your bonnet is warped or the body is.
