Detach ventilation cowl/scoop

Is it possible to remove the cowl/scoop for the fresh air ventilation? Reason for asking is that I’ve loosened all screws visible from outside and the scoop doesn’t come loose. I’ve looked in the repair manual and to me the fitting does not seem to be quite equal to the ones on my car. I’ve loosened the right and left screws from the cowl and three screws on the top of the scoop/cowl – five all together. Figure 83/2/16 - see attached snapshot, and point 3 refers to “loosen the four centre screws (2)”. According to the figure these should be located inside the scoop/cowl which they’re not on my car – no screws in there. Am I missing something, or is there different fitments of the scoop/cowl on different models? Or is it not possible to detach the scoop/cowl? The car is w111, year 1964, sedan.

you have the two wiper nuts off too? . Do not loose the screws as they are expensive and hard to find .

Yes, the two wiper nuts are off, forgot to mention that. What do you mean with “Do not loose the screws as they are expensive and hard to find”? Which screws?
