Is that a proper cossie? Just asking because I note an AMG front spoiler, where these used on cosworth models?

When you purchase it, post some engine bay pics etc, and the VIN.

Any particular reason for removing the original ones?
Am no expert in the world of Cosworths but would think originality is the key to value.
Anyway as long as it doesn't end up like these two green bits on 201 nastiness.........

Hey guys, yooooo Alex ! Finally made it on here huh !?

he he . . . yes guys its a genuine cosy, I have inspected it my self, Alex is the man who has been secretly helping me with my cosy, the car came with the AMG front bar and duck tail spoiler, and I suppose if he wants to mod it . . . well he can, as you all know my belief is if you mod a genuine cosy you better be making sure you can " un mod " - so he should have the the original bits laying round. Yes, if anyone one needs a hand with cosy stuff give him a bell in Melbourne, you won't be disappointed.

I actually like that front bar, the AMG cosy is beginning to grow on me . . . stop me before I buys another car !!! Have you guys seen the stuff from over seas - Ake ?

Good to do up a reg 190 and a thrash car, but genuine should be done tastefully if it all and if its moded - then being able to unmod should be factored in for appreciation for sure, but I think Alex is aware of that - I've bugged him on this all the time !

A lot of people have different opinions on modifications, especially when it comes to low volume production or special run models.

My feeling is that mods are OK to keep a car on the road and useable, with the proviso they are not major surgery - i.e. non-reversible.

Problem with the last bit of that statement is that 'everything' is reversible, except for a statutory write-off. Just depends on how deep your pockets are.

With a 16v, those pockets better be deep, and lined with Platinum, not mere gold or silver.

The number of times I have brain ached over modifying the 16v ...

I think it works like this: If the car is a basket case - rescue it any way you can, mods or not. Just take loads of before and after pics. I think the main thing is visual evidence of the before, to prove to naysayers that you are not 'killing' a good car.
If the car is a 'good-un' then you really need to keep it original. These are high-value cars, with worldwide reputation as one of the all-time best drivers cars on the road. They will only appreciate in value.

When you see butchered examples on web for sale sites, and they are priced upwards of 30K, you know that an original car is only going to go one way in value. Up. (as will the parts prices... as we are already experiencing)

Now is the time to be a custodian of a 16v and if you have a good one or find a good example with no accident damage, matching numbers and a good rust-free shell, you need to preserve, not destroy. There are far too few good ones left.

thanx for the reply,it is still pretty in stock form as most people would prefer that way,but considering ITB(already purchased hayabusa 1300),maybe EFI kit,got some saab turbo injectors, and most definitely will need aftermarket ECU..Later on I might increase the ratio from the stock 3.07 to 3.46(already purchased w124 3.46 differential).Bit of upholstery to the seats and installing brand new dashboard..Refreshing engine a bit with new chain/guides,h/gasket etc..That will work for me I think..Will keep the community posted..
