Wiper REplacement Blades clk500 2003

Post by hellohello123 » Sun 09 Oct, 2016 12:21 pm

hi everyone, was wondering if people could help me out
trying to find replacement blades, not fussed if after market

went to Supercheap and autobarn
autobarn had not my one listed in their catalogue
supercheap said they had it, went their wrong size totally
ebay seems to have heaps of them speicifally for my model,
but the dimensions all seem to be wrong

the quote from merc directly through a mechacine is something silly like $190 each or $90 each

can anyone recommend what to do please ;)

Because you have rain sensitive automatic wipers, el cheapo brand blades will drive you insane.

OEM are Valeo and Bosch. Mercedes use a mixture of these with their stamp on them.
Go directly to the stealership to get a price and then work backwards
Ring the forum sponsor for a quote - 1300 787 300

You are better off replacing the whole blade rather than the rubber alone.

It's one of those things. You have bought a vehicle which was around $150,000 new - the proper spare parts are still relatively priced

thank you very much

I just purhcased the car so trying to fix the bits and pieces,
I have called the sponsor however they were closed, I will retry

is anyone able to confirm whether these ones from amazon will work?
https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-22A-ICON-W ... iper+22%22

and sorry fro the newbie question, how does the rain sensing wipers work?
there seems to be nothing electric in the wiper rubber or the actual frame bit

The rain sensing is in the windscreen.

If you use OEM wipers then the sweep completely cleans the windscreen and the auto sensing system is happy.
Other brands may not do a good job or work O.K. for a few months.

Amazon shipping to Australia yet?

thanks for your help according to amazon, it seems most for sale are 24", specific tomy car
when I measured mine its 22", which only has one spec as below

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_n_8? ... d=15719731

https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-3397118933 ... 89%3ABosch

the MB parts sponsor has offered $102 inc delivery so I might just take the offer as once shipping from amazon is included, it doesnt seem much differnece

amazon is about $75 for the pair (if ive even chosen the right one)

so confusing......with all of these measurements etc. and the fact that autobarn doesnt even stock it when it says it does
