Well I bought the car in June and after a 4 day trip from here to Melbourne I have my 68 250 in the garage.
Only problem is I filled the boot with parts and now it won't open
But other than that my daughter and I spent the day cleaning the car out and taking the parts that were in the car out. A long long way to go. The rust is much better than I thought it might be and the interior is worse.
There is a lot of oil all over the engine and I have used a few cans of degreaser but the car is not leaking oil while not running so could just be something high like rocker cover fingers crossed.

Re: The wait is over
Does the car have central locking? I know this sounds bizzare but if you take the rear seat out and trace the central locking lines (there should be two yellow ones - one with a red stripe and one with a green stripe) - find where they tee off, disconnect them and suck on them - this should unlock the boot. I've done this trick before on cars at the wreckers to be able to get into the boot... :whistle:Only problem is I filled the boot with parts and now it won't open

No the car is just the basic model so no CL but I did manage to get it open with a bit of key jig galing.
Compression check and break check this weekend. I will try and get some pics up as well.
