1974 W114 Brake Booster vacuum hose

Post by zohar »

Hi ,

I need to replace the (originally) translucent plastic vacuum hose providing vacuum to the brake booster. The end near the engine is leaking and crumbling.

Anyone has access to the parts catalogue to identify the part number ?

Are the especially long on RHD cars ?

Can not find it online for some reason.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers
Z

They are much longer on RHD cars.

I should have a few if you can't find a new one.

Thinking outside of the square:
Translucent nylon(?) air line (as used in trucks, etc) is available in a similar size and could be installed with the original metal end fittings.

Check out places which specialise in air lines and fittings.

Really anything works if it fits properly.

The vacuum is so little that it won't flatten even a garden hose.

Bought a length of matching size vacuum hose ( 10x12 mm) and cooked a new hose.
