We have just bought a W115 to build as an entrance rally car. We just drove from Sydney to the Gold Coast and although the car performed well and we average 30 mpg, I would like a little more power but not at the expense of reliability. Ideas so far include replacing the oil bath air cleaner with a more efficient type such as a K&N, electronic ignition, different carby. Any thoughts?
Also looking for a source for a mesh grill to protect the lights and radiator.

Re: W115 Power Increase
Which engine? Oiil bath very efficient and doubt any noticeable power from kn. Ignition good even if just reliability. Carby can have issues. Exhaust can be replaced with more rrestriction over years. Factory normally got lots but old cars, horses do eescape. So make sure running as should and dyno figures can tell you that
