Probably the ugliest Benz ever made - but this one is still going strong:

Epic is an over-used word these days, but suitable here. And what a cool guy - he even shares my favourite post-108 colour.

What an inspirational story in a great car.
Take my hat off to the people that have the guts to go on these adventures while we sit here in front of teh computer slaving away dreaming of far away places
I think they are one of the best looking cars Puch ever made :-) especially when they are set up
to go on safari. Great that the car wasn't covered in sponsors.

Way Cool :notworthy:

I would bet a new Toyota, Nissan, Jeep 4x4 could not do the equivalent if it started today :laughing5:

I am planning, or maybe dreaming about doing a lap of Oz in my 300TD in the next 5 years
1980 300TD "Anna" - 400,000kms and still cruising, converted to SVO
1979 300D - sold, gone to be restored
1980 300D - "Lightning" recently purchased and currently making repairs
2006 Musso - Korean Mercedes, 5 cylinder diesel - Blown head gasket, buggered motor, grrrrrrr (I will stick with German Mercs)
Looking for 300GD LWB five door!
