The highest levels of satisfaction have been obtained

Post by MercMad West Australian » Wed 05 Apr, 2017 9:30 pm

I replaced all the fuses in my fuse box with brand new high quality ceramic units with brass / copper fuse material.

The simple pleasure of a clock that ticks and keeps the time has brought with it a new level of supreme satisfaction, it was almost a religious experience to hear that clock ticking again. It does not end there, my front interior light no longer dims every time the fasten seatbelt 3 x warning lamps flashes on.

My original fuses were all crap, every one of them was oxidised.

Here is where I got em, at el-capitans recommendation (scorchio) - an absolute gentleman always willing to share information.

This is it, it is all over now, there is not a single damn thing wrong with my car anymore. Now I need to buy another one.

Thanks for heads-up and indication of satisfaction o mad one - these fuses are great value, even with the cost of postage they work out at under 50c each

Congratulations! You're now in the exclusive elite club of W124 owners where everything is fixed! Haha

Speaking of fuses, just last week couldn't believe that my foglights didn't work for over a year simply because of one old unit. Wasn't broken just those damn contacts were crap.

Well, my clock sucks. It still isn't accurate over an extended period so I think it's time to change it. It's already been re-capped with no improvement so now it can safely go in the bin.

Fortunately I have another spare one here I will install when the cluster is out for the 1,000,001st time.

If this one doesn't keep time accurately, I'm gonna go postal.
