Flood related damage .

Post by Mercmad » Mon 10 Jan, 2011 8:58 am

i got cuaght up north Queensland in the floods and although Dads SEC wasn't in the flood waters, the damage sustained was caused by the local authorities putting hot mix into the holes to slow down the damage caused by rain on the Bruce highway.
What happened, was that besides Tar spots (in the rain!) was a film of brown stains all over the sides of the car (White pearl finish). i was wondering how to get it off when i tried some Septone wax and grease remover . This is used for paint prep and because it's a crap product it's very mild. It cleaned the film off very easily where car wash type detergents didn't even look like removing it.

It might be a good idea to give it a clay bar, paint clean, polish and wax too.
Cheers,
