Bluetooth in a 2004 S350

Post by Les Orth »

Is it possible to use Bluetooth with the command system in a series 2 W220 2004 S350. If not is there a device you can buy to do this that intergrates with the existing sound system and steering wheel controls?
Thanks,
Les

Bluetooth in a 2004 S350 Yes you can!

Hi Everyone,
After some research I have found the answer to my question. There are several things you can do to have Bluetooth in the W220 series S class
1. There are units made by ViseeO available new and second hand on eBay that plug into the socket where the factory supplied Nokia phone was positioned. These units work with all smart phones and give full usage of the factory control on the radio and steering wheel
2. There are several aftermarket radio/GPS units available with an adapter to connect up to the fibre optic connections to the existing amplifier and so keep the factory controls
3. There are other very inexpensive ways to do it as well including devices to plug into your 12 volt supply

So in conclusion....anyone wanting to have Bluetooth for their phone in a W220 Mercedes should have no problems at all achieving this.

By the way my last Mercedes was a W126 1990 300SEL it was a fantastic car but my current car since November 2016 is a 2004 S350 and it is the BEST Mercedes I have owned so far. I jut love it! Great ride very quiet lots of power easy to service has been very reliable over the last 12 years since being purchased new two owners ago. I'm learning lots and will seek advice as needed and hope I can help with advice along the way as well...
Cheers,

Hey Les, I’ve just picked up a 2001 S430 with a mere 70k’s after a hiatus of 15 years of owing a W126. I’ve always had a soft spot for the W220. I’ve seen plenty of rough examples but was instantly in love when I came across the car I would eventually buy!
