w220 s320 - no start

Post by kbro3 »

Hi guys!

Wondering if anyone can tell me the common causes of a no-start, no turnover condition on a 2001 w220 s320?

I'm looking for w220 specific issues here - so for example, flat battery is not unique to a w220.

Thanks!

More info needed.

Do the cluster lamps come up when the key is inserted?

Can you lock and unlock the car with the key OK?

Hi kbro,

I know this is a very late reply and you have probably solved the problem by now. However, this may be food for other as well. When I first purchased my S320 second hand, I had issues with the car simply shutting down. The engine would turn okay but it simply wouldn't start. It turned out to be a simple sensor which can be bought on line - just need to look around. Once that sensor was changed, I never had a problem with it again. The car runs beautifully. Hope this helps someone.

Cheers,
Clive
