Rear Passenger Widows Issues

Post by Grumpy »

Howdy brains trust:

My Off side window feel into the depths of the door. I pulled the door trim off today and notice that there is cable freely hanging about. The runner thingy attached to the bottom of the window has a broken white bit and its guts in the bottom of the door. Question, are the broken bits from the attached bit pivoting from the bottom of the door part of a window regulator replacement. i will talk to the guys in Canberra tomorrow to check on availability of parts.
Also, a strange thing happened a day or two before this happened; the SRS light came on. Is there a connection????...hope all this makes sense.

The wires are part of the window regulator. Looks like you need a new one (I don't know how good used ones are, but the forum sponsor should be able to give an opinion on this)

The SRS light comes on if there is an issue with the SRS system (airbags). Unlikely to be related unless the wires have snagged a cable going to that door airbag actuator.
