E430 oil leak

Apparently there is an oil leak that is common in E430's. It's the timing cover plate seal I beleive.Has anyone done a DYI fix and what's the procedure? I believe two thirds of the repair bill is labour. To backyard fix or Specialist fix? That is the question. Any answers would be appreciated.

Sure does, may need a hoist to do the job and to clean up. Will put the car on the ramps on Saturday to evaluate.

All fixed now. Apparently it's such a common thing with the V8's that the local stealership keeps the parts in stock. Too difficult to do on ramps and I don't have a hoist I had to get the Benz Menz on the job.
