What is the latest nav dvd available for w211 COMAND?

Hi All,

I will be buying a W211 avantgarde model, probably a 2003 with comand, and was wondering what is the latest MAP DVD out there for Australia. I don't really care about how much it costs I know it will be a rip off :P Is Mercedes still producing them and for future years, what is the latest year available of the DVD for Australia?

Is anyone able to help me obtain a NGT1 COMAND NAV disc?

I currently have A211 827 85 59 V3 (AUS V12.0)

I understand the final version was produced in 2010 with part # A211 827 32 65 V7 (AUS V15.0)

Does anyone happen to have a copy of this disc? It's 7yo, and many roads around Brisbane have since changed, but it should still be an improvement over what I have :)

Ben, I don't think it is worth the stress to worry about - an 8 year old Nav disc vs a 9 year old Nav disc. If I could easily obtain a copy for free I would install it, but I don't think the cost for $150-200 is worth the benefit. Every time that 8 year old disc sends you down the garden path, you will be cursing it. Get yourself a nice Brodit Proclip for the side of console, and use your iPhone.

There's a couple of blokes in Sydney running a youtube chaneel who specialize in do all sorts of modifying to cars they get for very little money.

One of their mods was installing an old iPad into the console of a Subaru. The IPad had developed a faulty battery so it was run off the electrical 12 volts in the console area. Fortunately the larger old IPad was a direct fit into the console.

Did away with the old audio head unit system.
Music, GPS, Youtube the whole iPad thing in front of you
