2008 Australian National Rally of Mercedes-Benz Clubs

Post by arkenstone » Mon 24 Sep, 2007 9:15 pm

Hey guys,

I've pretty much made my mind up to attend this - seems like good fun (and very good value, too).

Can anyone tell me much more about it? I have my first MBCV meeting next Monday to get a better idea of what members are like but you guys know EVERYTHING.

So, what can you tell me :)

That doesn't tell me anything more than what's in the two .PDF's on the MBCV website though, John :)

I was more after first hand experiences and "old-man stories" :)

The Mercedes-Benz Club of Victoria organised an extremely enjoyable National Rally starting in Albury and travelling via the Great Alpine Road to Lakes Entrance. It was followed by equally enjoyable optional post rally activities in Melbourne which included visits to two stunning car collections, the MCG, the RAAF museum and a fun Anzac day picnic with motorkhana John Green's uncle's farm.

I have posted a report and a selection of my photos at http://www.mbcnsw.org.au/forum/index.ph ... 042.0.html

In addition to expressing my appreciation to the MBCV for their superb rally organisation, I wish to also express my appreciation to forum sponsor John Green and the MB Spares team for the great support they provided on the rally.

Thanks,
Greg
