Western Sydney Detailing

Post by darobba » Wed 19 Jul, 2017 5:01 pm

Hi all,
I bought a pre-owned 2010 ML350 AMG Sports and would like to get it detailed/paint and interior protected.
Can anyone recommend a reputable detailer, one that you've tried and tested.
I almost accepted to do the Permagard protection offered by the dealer (which was ridiculously expensive) but heard there are others that can do a better job and for cheaper.
Anyone have any suggestions, I would be grateful.
Regards,
Robby.

Great thank you for the help!
I'm in Cecil Hills. Looked through their FB page and looks like people are happy with their work.
Pricing looks like its a lot better than the permagard thing that the dealer was offering.

I've also just come across two other places:
Definition Car Detailing: http://www.definitiondetailing.com.au/index.html
Bright Shine: http://www.brightshinemobile.com/

It looks like they both use Bodyarmour 9H which is an Australian product.
Now I need to figure out what the differences are between these two guys and the one you've recommended. Superior uses the Nano product I gathered. Again, wondering what the differences are.
If anyone knows please let me know.

Also I wonder if this voids any warranty with Mercedes.

I used detailers from time to time in Adelaide for work cars. My only comment is that the quality of work done, even from the same company, varied wildly. I got a recommendation for a smaller concern where i knew I would get the same person - saves a lot of time going back and arguing about crap work. Unless I was getting a first hand recommendation for a place I wouldn't consider it and better still if you can get a name of who does your car. Some of the 'kids' that companies sent out had no idea and really didn't care - others did it with passion and could totally transform a car.

Hi CraigB. Completely agree that it's the person that does the work that we need to ask for especially when it comes to work like this. I will be asking specifically by name. One needs to be passionate about seeing a vehicle being transformed through their hands. There's a big difference between someone doing the work just to get paid and another doing it for passion AND getting recognised for their work (by getting paid).

I'm still waiting for a response from the detailers I contacted.
