Wagon options.

Post by newMercowner69 »

Is/was the "T Elegance" the "top of the range" luxury option in the C200/W202 wagon range?,
Any AMG options available?,
As would LIKE&LOVE to fit AMG parts to my "T" Elegance wagon! :).

Hi newMercowner69,

W202 T models were avaiable in Classic & Elegance trim in pre-update form and with the facelift released late 1997, wagons were also available in Sport trim in both C200 and C240 form. Very few W202 Wagons were sold locally in Sport trim with the C240 Sport wagons particularly thin on the ground (I have only seen a few in Melbourne over the years).

I noticed this very nice C200 Sport Kompressor wagon for sale in Sydney which shows some of the nice features of the Sport - carbon fibre trim, different steering wheel, and unique seat colour.

The introduction of the ML slaughtered the station wagon market for both E and C class.
I looked at a bare bummed E240 classic wagon back when I bought a new W210 sedan.
The wagon was up in the $140K on the road range. ML’s were a shade over $100k for the 320.
That’s why you don’t see many W210,211 or W202,203 wagons.

Wagons have generally gone by the wayside in favour of the SUV. People assume the SUV has more space but this is not always the case :naughty:

I personally love my wagon....even if only a humble commodore.
