Hi forum, Any tips on preferred independent servicing in Melbourne - Mitchell Porritt, Mercstar, Lennox etc?

Get quotes from any of them before you get them to do anything.

Make sure you specify to give you a call for approval for "Extras" - you can end up with billshock.

Mitchell P's have been known to be a bit more expensive but good.

Ammstar are very good but a little bit expensive.

There's Alan Lennox in Bulleen and Peter Lennox in Thomastown.

Prestige Motors in Burwood road Hawthorn

Just for a laugh, get a quote from a stealership for the service you require.

I use Peter Lennox who are professional but need to be reminded to do things on older cars but always call to clear any extras.

The W202 is off there this coming Weds as the trans is being eratic and I haven't got a clue as to how to diagnose the problem, let alone fix it.

I use Star Tech Prestige at 4/295 Wickham Road. Moorabbin, good workshop, good staff and good pricing. My C200 has always been taken there since I purchased it. Give them a call on (03) 9077-1013 and talk to them for a quote

Richard at Starline Motors in Blackburn. Have had my C180 serviced there since I got it two years ago and, now that I just got a C280, will continue to go to him.

Hands down the AMG Guru at Autobach service. www.autobach.com.au
Looks after my C43 and is opening his own shop now.
The cheapest and the best of them all, nothing is ever a problem and all can be fixed at the fraction of your typical stealership :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Go for Volksaffair, they cost a fair penny but I've never been angry with the service, www.volksaffair.com.au
