MB Independent Mechanics in WA

In another Thread a member asked for recommendations on MB Mechanics in Perth.
Here is what I was going to reply, before deciding on posting in a new thread (this one):

I have 2 I can recommend:
NOR - MB Star motors in Balcatta 9240 6633
SOR - MB Centre in Booragoon 6161 8561
Take your pick, both are excellent independent MB Specialists.
I have used them both at different times.

Other members please feel free to add your preferred mechanic in WA to this thread.

'83 W123 300D 325000km (Wife's car Josephine - sold).
'84 W123 300D replaced good OM617 912 with OM617 952 and enjoyed having good acceleration for the first time since first driving a 300D in 2002 - became engine and trans donor for 300CD Turbodiesel conversion. Now parted out.
'86 W124 300D sold (Wife's old car - sold )
'85 W123 300CD, 275 000km (Fatmobile) rebuilt turbodiesel from previous Fatmobile transplanted into 280CE (occasional tourer)
'99 W202 C250 Turbodiesel (my darling Wife's car - Sold)
'98 W202 C250 Turbodiesel (my car - Sold)
'06 Ssanyong Musso Crew Cab 2WD Ute (OM662 diesel and Auto Transmission)

I have been happy with The Star Shop in Osborne Park - 9445 7977.

For general mechanical and exhaust work - Keystone in Claremont - 9384 6810

Am looking at a head gasket replacement as I have a rear oil leak with maybe a little coolant..... also a small leak from the timing cover...
Have been quoted from $3500 _ 4000. Does this sound expensive or excessive.

Seek quotes from the above-mentioned independents. They know the older (>5 years old) cars better than even the dealers.
