Why don't you join now?

Post by T-Modell » Fri 24 Jun, 2016 7:29 pm

Hi down under,

now that the mother country leaves, why don't you join the EU? It worked already with the European Song Contest ... :laughing6: :laughing6:

Sad day for Europe ... I already offered my English friends asylum here ... and they accepted :laughing5:

I think more Germans will be seeking asylum in England than the other way around.
I think it is great, the EU has gone way beyond it's original idea, Britain will be much better off, and they will probably remember that their best friends are Australia and the USA.
As for Australia joining, no way!

Does this mean that Greece will be exiting the EU soon ?

The EU project is likened to the Titanic after it has hit the iceberg. The Brits jumped ship onto a lifeboat before the thing goes down - lucky them.

Don't forget though. The British Government must give official notice to the E.U. and then it will be two years before the official end of membership. A lot can happen in that time.
And then there's a clear lack of leadership quality in any of the U.K political parties. What competent British politician is going to do with the E.U. technocrats over the deal to leave the U.K.
Britain suffers a common problem with the rest of the western world. They are led by a crop of political pygmies. The political giants are long gone.

Wow,
so we have the prove: here's people over 50 with ancestors from England or Wales :laughing6:

Sorry, but I disagree. The EU has given us 70 years of peace, we can travel without borders and can work everywhere. I do know we have problems (especially we Germans), but that's solvable.

It's my firm opinion, that we have gotten so much used to the advantages, that we don't appreciate them anymore. My kids in their 20s don't know it differently (e. g. you don't have to get Shillings to go to Austria) and it's interesting, that 75% of the younger people voted for "in".

Anyway, I'm sure the UK pays the price. Empire's gone, what's left are some bubbles, e. g. property prices in London, just driven by Arabs and Chinese buying whole districts.

Big field to discuss; my English friends were shocked (although over 50 and from England :laughing6: ) ... even lost their British humour for a day when I offered them asylum ...

Here a quote from a friend in the UK:

......bloody hell, time to retire to a small island somewhere where nothing much happens and is not a major player on the World scene!.........oh, hang on a sec, I just realised I won't have to move now!!!

Best regards
Thomas

So, still nobody willing to join?

After the exitperts "England" left Europe twice in a week :laughing6: , the Welsh made a clear statement: Pro-EU AND in the semi-finals yesterday ... what a match!
