Like you'd expect, a cross between a small truck and a large 4 wheel drive, actually quite nice to drive, has a good turning circle, discs all round, power steering.
Little bit wallowy but that is to be expected with long travel coil springs.

I see why you're called Grumpy :laughing6:
Perhaps I'll pop around one night and grab the guts out of your 300, although by the sounds of it my OM352 is more reliable than your OM642 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_OM642_engine, I think regular oil changes with good quality oil is the go for those engines.

Still dressed in ADF camo... Looks like the perfect vehicle to travel offroad to remote parts and have a break. Or dispose of bodies...

Or you could take advantage of the camouflage & use it to load transport cash crops... quite a bit of that in the hills I hear :laughing5:

How's it going? You don't often post about the 'mog. Has it been on blocks for a bit or have you been too busy to get away?

Actually it's NATO camo on the cab and someone had a go at camoing the back part.
Yeah we spoiled the kids when we they where younger and are not into camping, their idea of camping is a 3 star motel :sad11:
However my daughter is OS at the moment, so am trying to get the young fella interested in some bush work.
I am needing to put in a new torque tube boot and they are not a cheap item, may have got onto some on ebay for a reasonable price but they seem to be copies :dontknow:
However the sad thing is that I may have to sell it, as things are pretty slow and the bills never stop rolling in.
It's like any toy I suppose, you hate it when it sucks up the money but love it when you're playing with it.

:hand: now, I'm not really grumpy at all. As for the OM642, I have added a catch can to prevent oil leaks onto the swirl pot motor. It has failed at 70.000klm and cost me a fortune.(long story involving gov departments, dept infrastructure, EPA etc...) As for servicing, every 10.000klm it get new synthetic oil and filter. It runs like a dream with fantastic fuel economy.

Good O, all the hard yards have been done, ready for a drop into the mog.
I suppose I could keep the auto, that would give me 40 gears to play with :laughing6:

It will come in handy driving over the zombies if labor gets back into power.
