Re: M.B Spares Newsletter No.121
Hi John
Every year when summer comes I need to regas my aircon (95 E280 W124). Last summer I had the mechanic put dye through it but there was no sign of a leak. But still no cold air this year. So obviously in the evaporator. Heard about your $400 fix and am interested but live in Melb. Any suggestions. (Usually take my car to Gullwing Motors in Blackburn)
Regards
Joe

Sorry for jumping in, but once you get it fixed make sure you run your a/c compressor for at least a few minutes every week - including the cooler months - so that the lube gets circulated (it is mixed with the gas). Used to do air-con and probably the most common cause of perished seals, corrosion and siezed compressors was from lack of circulation due to people not using the air-con in autumn and winter.suitcaseau wrote:Hi John
