107 AC Evaporator Drains

Post by TheMadRacoon » Fri 03 Mar, 2017 10:22 am

I noticed two pools of water, one in each foot well, after using the AC the other day. I figured I had blocked evaporator drain holes and in my search to see where they are located (and also to know if I access them from the fan side, and whether I'd have to remove the ventilation fan) I came across some information about a Mercedes bulletin for modification & additional drain holes:

Have you managed to find the instructions for adding 2 condensation drains to the evaporator drain pan?
This is definitely something I need to do in my 1974 450SLC.

No, I didn't search further but worth doing. Wonder if MB Spares can source these older bulletins?

Chai,

I sent them an email via their contact form, as follows. Hope to get a positive response:
[Edit: by "them" I mean Autubahn Performance in the. US, not MB Spares!]

Hello from Australia!

I read with interest about the Mercedes bulletin for early C/R107 evaporator drain modification (adding another two drains).

Would you be willing to share this bulletin with me and fellow members of our Australian Mercedes forum? (http://www.ozbenz.net)

We would be very grateful, and you are welcome to join us on the forum.

Regards,
Emad
