Sorry for a rather late reply

The PUB weekend in September was great.
Lots of beautiful cars and many enthusiasts prepared to share their knowledge and friendship.

The organisers set up a static display of the Pagoda fuel tank internals.
Buds Benz had a shop with portable 113 parts.
Someone had for sale a selection of 5 speed manual gearboxes used to replace the 4 speed MB gearboxes and auto transmissions.
Someone else had a display showing a dismantled cold start system of the Mechanical Fuel Injection pump.
This generated lots of discussion about the best way to set it up.

Joe Alexander (Guru) showed in detail the procedure needed to adjust the valves on a 280sl with many guys asking questions.

Saturday afternoon an informal concourse was held with MBUSA chief judge /former President and enthusiastic 250sl owner Peter Lesler casting a critical eye over the cars.

Sunday was set aside to allow club members to seek help with their cars' problems.

The day I arrived in Blacklick I chatted with a guy who had a beautiful 280sl that he trailered from about 200 miles away.
I asked him why didn't he drive it there..... he said the local MB dealer couldn't get it to run properly.
On the Sunday after the 'texperts' tuned it, he was smiling wide as he took it for a test drive and his smile was even wider when he returned.

The camaraderie between club members is like this group.

I will go back in 2017.
