230SL indicator combination switch

Post by scorchi0 » Mon 14 Oct, 2013 5:25 pm

Howdy all,

It seems the RHD stalks are no longer available for these cars. The LHD part is available from several aftermarket suppliers so I'm wondering if anyone knows if the LHD part will fit the RHD car?

The parts catalog only lists one part number, so I'm assuming if you order one you get a LHD part that fits all, but I'm just wondering if anyone knows this for certain.

cheers,
Trent

001 545 55 25 is what is in EPC, so I assume is the LHD part.

Number I get ends 24, not 25 and appears to be the same for all markets.

That was a type, the number is indeed 001 545 55 24.

I had a response on the pagoda forums from someone who had actually fitted the LHD part without issue to a RHD car so looks like we're good to go.

Cheers for the responses folks.

We have done it a number of times, no real drama's. from what I can figure the only real difference was the length of the lead to the plug. At one stage there was a story going around the net that you had to swap the wires for the left and right indicator to make it work, but that turned out to be an unban myth.

And, yes we can quote you on one...
