Isn't the purpose for the SL to be a tourer?

Range is 30 miles :bs: . Where would you tour with that

Somebody completely lost the plot with this.

Wow, that is interesting, except that I would get stuck overnight in Penrith with that range. Would love to see it in action. One day there will be a big business in getting these bodies and sticking hydrogen engines in 'em. Can't wait.

+ 1 and it only does 55 mph and has no boot space and would not handle..... pointless!

What a waste of a great car.

For the Prius type drivers or those that are easily offended, don't follow this link.

I like the fact that the range is quoted as +/- 30 miles. What does "plus or minus 30 miles" mean? Perhaps -30 miles means you can travel that far in reverse. This car would have cost an absolute fortune in energy to convert - it will take a long time to get that back.

Everytime you go to visit friends they will get pissed off because you will be asking to plug in to their power point. Electric power is seriously expensive so recharging the batteries is going to cost as much as tank full of petrol .
You can't ignore the laws of physics, electric cars just dont have the range .

And they also need a crate of beer to drink while the batteries are charging.
