Star Classic CD manual

Post by Stephen » Sun 22 Jan, 2017 9:41 pm

HI all,
I have an older copy of the STAR Classic CD manual (Vol 3) with suitable sections for my 250S. What my apparent problem is that I can't get the manual chapters to open on my Windows 7 laptop. The CD runs, and I can go through the menu progressively, but when I get to the part of the manual I want to open, that's as far as I can go. I don't know if it is a pdf file or something else, but whatever it is, I don't seem to have a suitable program installed, or it is incompatible with Windows 7. Has anyone had the same experience and can advise on a resolution?
Thanks,
Stephen

I have a similar CD, albeit for the W111.

It does not run properly through the menu. I just go through the CD with explorer and open the chapters I need by hand.

Yes, they are PDF files, scanned from the paper workshop handbook.

Thanks for your reply Bart,
I tried and can do it that way, it's just a matter of having to open everything first until you find what you are looking for. I s'pose I will have to get familiar with the locations and names of files. I found parts diagrams that I never knew were there!! But no part #'s. Are those Russian parts diagrams still available?
Best wishes,
Steve

Someones gone to the effort to make an indexing file for the various MB CDs. Try the link below, I have never tried it myself.
