Post by 1970_280s » Fri 23 Sep, 2005 11:27 am

What should the compression be in psi, for a good condition m130v?

thanks

i am not sure about the PSI - i have usually just gone by how even they are - but someone else will probably know.

As far as the wanted m110 photo, if you are thinking of mixing and matching heads, I think Davide Frada has looked into this quite a bit and may be able to help you.

Thanks Craig, I had good look through my workshop books and came up with between 142-156psi. Mine read about 130, so thats not too bad.

And I was looking at putting an m110 head on an m130 block (your obviously a fairly cluey bloke or psychic), who is David Frada?

Thanks for the compression figures, i will write them down in the back of my manual.

Would not call myself a particularly cluey bloke but Davide is. His last posts have been under davidef but he must be pretty busy these days since he is not on here much. His last post was 24/8 in the sale/wanted board under 280se3.5 and 280sel for sale so you could send him a message. I don't have his number here but If I remember I will call him and ask him. I am pretty sure he was talking about doing the same thing and that it has been done before with gains in compression ratio and horsepower.
