Sunroof cable problem

Post by sidecar42 » Sun 24 Sep, 2017 6:42 pm

Sunroof cable has stuffed up, have a new one, can't get old one out. I can run it until it disengages from the drive, then pull it about another metre then it sticks solid, any suggestions appreciated. Could I remove the drive, cut the sunroof end of, and drag it out through the boot?

The cable needs to be taken out through the boot by removing the drive unit. The end of the cable that bolts to the sunroof bridge opens to release the cable by bending it apart. Thats how I've done a few anyway.
